Crossplay and Join Codes
Keep the party setup predictable: update first, create one session, share the current code, and verify the group is in the same world before walking away from the starting area.
Simple setup
- Update the game on every platform before the host creates a session.
- Have one player create the session and share the Join Code through a trusted channel.
- Each friend joins from the multiplayer screen and confirms their own connection before the group splits up.
- Test voice or text communication while everyone is still together.
If a friend cannot join
- Check the game version and online access on both sides.
- Share a newly generated code rather than relying on an old message.
- Have the host recreate the session if the party remains stuck, then repeat the join steps.
- Record the platform pair and the exact error before contacting official support.
Evidence boundary
The official FAQ is the source of truth for whether a platform pair is supported. Community reports can help diagnose a temporary issue, but they are not a promise of compatibility.
